So the last few weeks I've been playing around in the kitchen to come up with the best Naan-za. What is a Naan-za?! It is what is sounds like pizza using naan bread, best of all it only takes 30 minutes to bake so whether you're doing a date night or having a friends over last minute. This is quite easily the best tasting & fastest pizza you can make without using any odd ingredients.

What do you need to make this amazing-ness? For 4 people you will need the following:

2 pack's of Naan Bread (Presidents Choice is good)

3 Italian Sausages

5 Merguez

A couple of handful's of Arugula

Presliced White Mushrooms

1 White Onion or French onion

1/2 Tomato

1 can pre-made Rose sauce (Nicastro makes an excellent low calorie/low sodium sauce)

1 Glass of red wine or a bottle of beer (you need to keep hydrated while cooking)

Cheese (any cheese you prefer, I usually use pre-shredded 3 cheese blend packet)

Bunch of Basil, Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Sea Salt, Pepper and Honey

*** Dried whole red chili's if you want it spicy ***

1) Turn on the frying pan on high and the stove to 425, while it heats up cut up the sausages & merguez. When the pan is hot add a small lug of olive oil (you don't need much since the fat from the meat will come out) and toss in all the meat.

2) Take your naan bread out and add the rose sauce (3 tablespoons per Naan-za) should be enough. Dice up your tomatoes & onions, basil (take a few leaves and roll it up like a cigarette and chop it up) and as much as you want with the sliced mushrooms.

3) Check up on your meat keep stirring it around on the pan making sure all sides are getting cooked.

 4) Add your cheese and if you want the dried (cut up or break it up with your hand, just make sure to wash your hands so you don't burn your eyes). Then drizzle the Naan-za with Olive Oil & Balsamic then put a few cracks of sea salt & pepper. If you like your pizza really spicy let it sit for a while, the longer the better as the olive oil will bring out the heat from the chili's, if not toss it in the oven for 15 minutes.

5) This point your meat should be nearly cooked turn down the heat and add some honey to give it a nice sweet glaze. We got a bit of spicy, sweet and the bitter coming in from the Arugula, wicked combination. Let it cook for a minute and turn off the stove.

6) When the pizza is ready add your meat, then pile on the arugula, add a drizzle of olive oil, a couple of cracks of pepper and BOOM (as the dynamite would say) you have yourself your first Homemade Gourmet Naan-za.. Bonne Appetite! Please feel free to send me pictures of your creation or if you've made any success or made any changes post it up in the comments box.
