Hillshire “Oh, Hill Yeah! Sammies”

CHALLENGE Hillshire Farm launched a brand-new campaign Oh, Hill Yeah, that celebrates the greatness and downright deliciousness of their high-quality deli meats, sausages, and snacking plates. The nationwide campaign aimed transform people’s universal love for sandwiches into a pop culture moment by creating a collection of sandwiches inspired by and named after beloved cultural icons. To  kicks off the campaign Hillshire partnered with Amy Sedaris who lent her comedic and culinary creativity to honor others with mouthwatering and unique Oh, Hill Yeah sandwiches featuring the brand’s premium lunch meats. 

SOLUTION Amy kicked off the campaign by showcasing two sandwiches, the ”Hamy Sedarwich" and “Andy Coham.” To spread awareness and inspire would-be home chefs we partnered with Matt James and Samantha Bachman who each created an original Sammie. Matt honored his mother with a ”Momma Cristo”, while Samantha paid homage to her former hometown with a “Sam Diego.” Matt and Sam shared their creations and encouraged their audience to post their creations with a celebratory #OhHillYeah, which would trigger the potential inclusion of their recipe on Hillshire’s “Pinterest “Digital Deli Board,” a hall-of-sandwich fame.
